What does The Yuppie Closet offer?

We offer everything from clothing and footwear to accessories and home furnishing, and if you’ve ever shopped at The Yuppie Closet, you know our pieces can go fast. That’s why we update our shop monthly. Even if you’re not looking for a specific designer item, there are plenty of essentials in The Closet — from organic cotton essentials for babies to work essentials for mommy.

Our merchandise doesn’t have much in common with what you’ll find at your local consignment/thrift shop. All of our inventory is hand-picked by your Yuppie Woman eagle-eyed buyer, so members can expect our pre-loved clothing to look and feel just like-new.

One more thing, we carry many brand new items, so expect to see those hard to find pieces & sizes in our closet.

How does it work?
  1. Get Started: Use the form below to begin building your Yuppie Woman membership profile. After you submit your yearly membership fee, you will gain access to our shop and begin our membership onboarding process. No email clutter too. We add everything you need to know about your membership on our private members-only page.
  2. Discover: Learn and practice The Yuppie Way and become the master of your own style and daily life. Starting January 2023, Shop + Collect, pay nothing and enjoy our monthly selection of clothing, shoes and accessories.
  3. Relax: Get your time back and start living The Yuppie Way!

How much does it cost?

Yuppie member pay a one-time $250 1-year membership fee to initiate our services. Service fee includes handling, order processing, item selection, packaging, transportation of items, plus additional delivery charges (for large or bulky items).

What is the condition of the clothes The Yuppie Closet carry?

Our goal is to make sure you are 100% happy with your purchase. We are extremely selective with the items we accept for sale and the condition these items are in. We carefully inspect each item at least 3 times for flaws and/or issues before adding it to our closet, so please shop with confidence!

Our items are brand new, new without tags, like-new if a particular item was a floor/display model and lightly-worn condition. All of our secondhand items are in either pristine condition (no visible signs of wear) or excellent condition (lightly worn) and carefully cleaned according to the manufacturer’s care instructions. How do you guarantee the items you sell are authentic?

We can guarantee authenticity on every item that we sell or you get your money back! We follow brand specific authentication guidelines and we work with authentication experts to inspect and examine the item’s material, workmanship, tags, labels, logos, hologram stickers, date and/or serial codes to identify the time period of each piece. As an added bonus, we also have over a decade long 5-star eBay reputation.

Please note, we are not an authorized reseller of any of the brands that we are selling. Brands sold are not partnered with or affiliated with The Yuppie Closet.

How do I register with theyuppiecloset.co?

Click on “Membership” in the navigation menu at the bottom of any theyuppiecloset.co page. This will bring you to the Sign In/Register  page. Please enter your information to sign up after your membership is confirmed by us. 

Shipping

How much does shipping cost?

Our standard shipping costs is $15. We offer complimentary shipping on all orders over $250.

When will I receive my items?

All orders are shipped via USPS First Class & Priority Mail with tracking included. Packages typically arrive within 2-3 business days after shipment notification. Delivery time does not include Sundays & Holidays.

Returns & Payments

Are returns accepted?

Returns & Exchanges are accepted within 7 days from the date of confirmed shipment.

As a customer-based focused business, we strive to provide each and every customer with all the necessary details on each and every item available in our shop. That includes the following:

This Privacy Policy describes our practices concerning your privacy. Although this Privacy Policy may seem a bit long, we have prepared a detailed policy because we believe you should know as much as possible about my practices so that you can make informed decisions. By accepting the Terms and Conditions of Use, using my website, shopping on our website, or otherwise interacting with us, you are consenting to our practices, including the use and disclosure of any personally identifiable information you have shared with us, as described in this Privacy Policy.

Anti-Spam Policy

We are 100% opposed to unsolicited commercial email (“spam”). We do not send emails to anyone without permission and we do not sell or provide email addresses to any unauthorized third party. If you receive any unsolicited emails from spammers, please be assured that we did not provide your email address to such parties. This does not mean that we can prevent spam from happening on the Internet. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Additional Information
The Yuppie Closet reserves the right to amend any information, including but not limited to prices, technical specifications, terms of purchase and product offerings without prior notice. At the event of when a product is sold out, The Yuppie Closet has the right to cancel the order and refund any amount paid in the best way. Who we are. We are The Yuppie Closet LLC, registered in Maryland at 9201 Edgeworth Drive, Capitol Heights, Maryland 20791-5170 (“The Yuppie Closet”).

These terms. These are the terms and conditions (“Terms”) that apply when you purchase products from The Yuppie Closet. When you purchase from The Yuppie Closet, these Terms apply and the legal contract is between you and the seller(s) of the items you have ordered. The Yuppie Closet does not itself act as a seller. The Yuppie Closet acts on behalf of the seller(s). In this limited capacity, The Yuppie Closet is not a party to your contract with the seller. Where an order is delivered within or into the United States, such orders shall be facilitated by The Yuppie Closet. In all other cases, orders shall be facilitated by The Yuppie Closet.

Under the Terms and Conditions (For Sellers), each seller authorizes The Yuppie Closet to act as the seller’s commercial agent to negotiate and conclude the sale of products to you, solely on the seller’s behalf. The geographical location and name of the brand will be specified on the product description page when you find the item on the website.

If you are a UK customer purchasing products from or for delivery to the UK (“UK customer”), please refer to the section titled “These are additional terms that apply to customers in the United Kingdom and European Union,” which applies to and modifies or adds to these Terms for those specific purchases only.

If you are a EU customer purchasing products from or for delivery to the EU (“EU customer”), please refer to the section titled “These are additional terms that apply to customers in the United Kingdom and European Union,” which applies to and modifies or adds to these Terms for those specific purchases only.

Please read these Terms carefully. By placing an order with The Yuppie Closet through the Website, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not order any products from The Yuppie Closet.

Contract formed by agreement.

After placing an order on the website, you will see an order summary that lists the products you have ordered. This does not mean that The Yuppie Closet has accepted your order. At this stage, we are verifying your order information and checking for any potential problems.

The Yuppie Closet performs the following pre-acceptance checks after you place an order:

  • Product availability
  • Website pricing and payment details
  • Anti-fraud, credit, and security checks

The Yuppie Closet strives to ensure that all product images and details are accurate at the time of purchase. However, errors may occur, and The Yuppie Closet may not be able to accept your order on the seller’s behalf if an error is discovered during order processing checks.

The Yuppie Closet may not be able to accept your order in the following cases:

  • The product is out of stock.
  • The product is not available in your country.
  • The product is not eligible for shipping to your address.
  • You have exceeded the maximum order quantity.
  • You have provided incorrect or incomplete information.

If The Yuppie Closet cannot accept your order for one of these reasons, we will notify you by email and will not charge you for the product.

UPON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT.

After your order is accepted, The Yuppie Closet will collect payment for the products you order on the seller’s behalf when they are dispatched to you. The Yuppie Closet will be shown as the ‘merchant of record’ on your card or payment account statement, but they will not charge you any fees. Your obligation to pay amounts due under your contract with the seller is satisfied when The Yuppie Closet collects payment from you on the seller’s behalf as merchant of record. If you are a UK customer, The Yuppie Closet will be shown as the ‘merchant of record’ on your card or payment account statement for the relevant products.

Import duties and taxes may apply to orders shipped to certain countries. The Yuppie Closet has no control over these charges, and customers will be responsible for paying them in order to receive their orders.

Had a change of heart? Here’s when you can cancel.

You can change your mind and cancel or return your order within 7 calendar days of receiving the products, or before you receive the order confirmation email, whichever comes first. If your order was delivered in multiple batches or from different sellers, the 7-day period starts on the day after the last item in your order from that seller was delivered to you.

Returns and refunds policy: If you cancel your order because you have changed your mind, we will refund the price of the products and any applicable standard delivery charges (but not any enhanced or premium delivery charges). Please return the product unused and unworn, in the same condition you received it, along with all the packaging and included accessories. Nothing else should be returned!

The Yuppie Closet will deduct from your refund if you have changed your mind about the product and cannot meet the return requirements, or if you have used the product more than you would be able to in a store to decide whether to buy it and it is no longer in a resalable condition.

How do I cancel an order? You can cancel your order by emailing [email protected]. Your order will be canceled as soon as we receive your cancellation request. You will need to return the products to us within 7 calendar days of canceling your order. The Yuppie Closet will then provide you with instructions on how to return the product.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs in the UK, EU, and US. You will usually receive your refund within 14 days of The Yuppie Closet receiving the product back from you, or within 14 days of your cancellation notice if the products have not yet been shipped.

What to do if a product is faulty? Within 7 days of delivery of the product/service: If a product you ordered from The Yuppie Closet develops a fault, you have the right to a refund or exchange from The Yuppie Closet. You must notify us of any issues within seven (7) days of the delivery date. Once we receive the product, we will test it and, if we agree with your assessment, we will refund the price of the faulty product and the delivery charges you paid.

If you order a product from The Yuppie Closet and it develops a fault between 7 and 30 days after delivery, The Yuppie Closet will usually offer to repair or replace the product. If the repair or replacement does not resolve the problem, you can request a partial refund or return the product for a full refund.

How to return a faulty product? To return a faulty product to us, please email us at [email protected] or write to us at The Yuppie Closet, 9201 Edgeworth Drive, Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5170 – whichever the most convenient option for you is acceptable. After we receive your request, we will send you instructions on how to return the product. The customer is responsible for all returns from the UK, US, and European Union, and you will usually receive your refund within 14 days of us receiving the product back from you.

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Products with problems caused by accident, neglect, misuse, or normal wear and tear.
  • Products that are not actually faulty.

If you return a product that is not faulty, you will be responsible for the cost of return shipping.

We recommend that customers use the United States Postal Service’s Priority Mail service to return products to ensure that their return order reaches us.

These are additional terms that apply to customers in the United Kingdom and European Union.

To our customers in the UK and EU:

When you purchase products through the Website, please be aware that we are authorized by the relevant seller to act as their undisclosed agent.

We will enter into a contract with you on behalf of the relevant seller for the sale of the products. However, the seller will be ultimately responsible for the products. We will not disclose the identity of the seller as a matter of course, but please contact us if you require this information. Any reference elsewhere in these Terms to the contract being concluded or entered into between you and the relevant seller should be read with this in mind.

If you are not satisfied with a product or service, please contact us and we will work with you and the seller to resolve the issue. We cannot be held responsible for the actions of others, but we will do everything we can to help you.

The prices of products on the website include value-added tax (VAT), which is a type of sales tax. However, delivery fees are not included in the product prices, and VAT may also be charged on delivery fees. All charges will be clearly shown before you checkout and place your order.

If the terms under the heading “These are additional terms that apply to customers in the United Kingdom and European Union” conflict with any other paragraphs, the terms in this paragraph take precedence for customers in the UK and EU.

LEGAL STUFF

You always have statutory rights in relation to products or services that are faulty, damaged, or not as described. These Terms do not affect your statutory rights.

If we breach these Terms, we are liable for any loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable consequence of our actions, or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Foreseeable loss or damage is either obvious that it will happen, or if, at the time the contract was made, both of us knew it might happen.

We are not allowed to exclude or limit our liability to you in certain cases, such as death or personal injury caused by The Yuppie Closet’s negligence, fraud, or breach of your consumer rights.

The products are for domestic and personal use only. We will not be held liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, loss of earnings, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

These Terms are governed by United States law. You can bring legal proceedings in the United States courts. If you live in the United States, you can bring legal proceedings in the Maryland courts.

The Yuppie Closet may make changes to these Terms as it grows and improves. We will do this by uploading the latest version with a date confirming when they went live. The new Terms will not affect any orders placed prior to the go live date, but will apply to future orders.

You will receive a dispatch confirmation email from The Yuppie Closet once your order has been processed and the stock, price, and payment checks have been completed. The contract between you and the seller of the items you have ordered will be formed when you receive the dispatch confirmation email. We will also contact you by email if we are unable to accept your order on the seller’s behalf. If you are a UK or EU customer, please refer to the section titled “Additional terms for customers in the United Kingdom and European Union” for more information about your purchase.
